A world of difference

The whole school went to the theatre by bus to see a stage play.

I asked one of the kindergarten kids about it

Willy: “Did you like the play?”

Kindy: “OH yes”

Willy: “What part did you like best?”

Kindy: “The Bus trip!”

There’s a world of difference between High School and Primary

It’s just a pity that the pay rates are the same.

It’s what you know.

Well I am back working for the Edumaction Dept, this time as a casual GA in a Primary Skool two days per week.

My plan to get a job back in my trade failed now I believe that there is no “Skills Shortage” well not in my trade anyway!

Four years of TAFE for what?

I was pushing a barrow full of mulch the other day and a Child was in the path when he stepped out of the way I said “thankyou” to which he replied, “You’re welcome”

He will go far, as manners cost the civilized man nothing but can return him great dividends

Working in the primary skool makes me think of the Wizard of OZ with all the munchkins.

Ripped Off

Well I did have 1 week holiday before I resigned
BUT I DIDN'T GET MY LEAVE LOADING 17 1/2%

So I rang up the pay office at Bathurst

Stumpy: " I'm a general assistant at XXXXXXXX High School, I just have had a week off and I did not get my leave loading"

Woman: " We only pay leave loading on a two week cycle that means you have to take two weeks to get leave loading"

Stumpy: "Oh"

Woman: "CLICK"

Now I have had this happen before but I had not realized as I have had taken other 1 week periods off there just was so much work to do at the school

All things being equal the bastards have ripped me off for 5 weeks of 17 1/2%

so you think that they would pay me when I receive my final payout

God I am naive and stupid to believe such a thing could happen from a government department

Last Day!

Well it has come to pass, here it is.

How do I feel?

OVERWORKED!!!!

Since putting in my notice I have had not a moments peace, every one wants things done before I leave.

Even during my farewell talk I was interrupted by a contractor!

But the finality of it all "We have left undone the things that we ought to have done."

I've done it!

Good morning,
Once again ...... has provided us with another crop of gifted individuals for the School Assistance Squad.

During the past year I have worked with many of you on a regular basis, it’s been fun and having fun is a part of work. “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”
I would like to thank you for your assistance to me, I know how hard it was to drag yourselves way from the classroom and to put in 80 minutes of unremitting toil.

While you are doing this work you are learning, and I am pleasantly surprised and very proud when you offer to help me in your own time. “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Sincerity And Service ...... High School SAS.

Advice so I am told is offered freely but rarely taken, so I will finish with some.

Stuck in the box

Today I had to move the old computers to staffrooms,

The last one I put in the lift, what the heck I will ride down with it.
